Project Narrative
In collaboration with MD Studio, RH+ARCH studio led a comprehensive interior architecture renovation for the Fairfield Inn Washington, DC—repositioning the property to meet the expectations of today’s traveler through a refined, modernized guest experience.
The project focused on the transformation of both public and guest room environments, reimagining the arrival sequence, enhancing circulation, and creating a cohesive design language throughout the property. The lobby and shared spaces were redesigned to function as flexible, multi-use environments—supporting gathering, work, and transition—while improving clarity of movement and overall spatial flow.
Guest rooms were fully renovated to elevate comfort, functionality, and visual appeal. Each space was thoughtfully composed with clean lines, layered materials, and a warm, contemporary palette—balancing durability and brand consistency with an upgraded sense of hospitality. Strategic improvements to layout, lighting, and finishes enhance both the guest experience and long-term operational performance.
