This courtyard-driven layout enhances natural light, ventilation, visibility, and overall daily flow—creating a healthier, more connected environment for both riders and horses.

Architecturally, the project draws from Mediterranean and Spanish influences, incorporating tile roofing, stucco finishes, and stone elements to create a timeless, regionally appropriate aesthetic.

Project Narrative

This project is especially meaningful - designed for long-standing clients and their two daughters, both competitive riders pursuing Olympic-level goals. The vision from day one has been clear: create a facility that performs at the highest level while supporting horse welfare, training efficiency, and a strong architectural identity.

What started as a traditional enclosed stable has evolved into something much more dynamic.

The current design is centered around a 3,400 SF open-air courtyard, surrounded by:
• 6,600 SF of enclosed stalls and support spaces
• 2,000 SF of covered exterior stalls
• 4,200 SF of covered alleyways

14,200 SF total center
